The human rights movement “Bir Duino-Kyrgyzstan” announces call for applications for participation in the XV International Festival of Documentary Films on Human Rights “Bir Duino-Kyrgyzstan
Май 20.2021Emerging new risks and disasters, global changes, including armed conflicts, acts of military aggression, social upheavals, demographic shifts, rapid urbanization and migration trends, as well as climate change, are fundamentally changing our world.
The COVID-19 pandemic has further exposed many internal problems in the field of civil, political, social, economic and cultural rights, which have also been exacerbated by the border armed conflicts in Kyrgyzstan, the high level of violence against vulnerable groups of local communities, such as women, children, people with disabilities, etc.
Human rights movement: Bir Duino-Kyrgyzstan in partnership with WLP, Civic Solidarity Platform, FIDH, Forum Asia, GNDR provides a wide opportunity to discuss documentary truth in the field of human rights, at festival venues, attracting documentarians and experts from both local and international communities, with an innovative format "Human rights through Art".
On the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the Human Rights Movement: Bir Duino-Kyrgyzstan in 2021, according to the decision of the organizing committee, the XV anniversary IFDF on Human Rights-2021 will be dedicated to the theme: "Human rights in times of risk and disaster".
The application period is from May 20 to August 1, 2021.
