On April 17, 2018, in Kyrgyzstan the national TOT within the framework of the Women's Leadership and Political Participation Program (WLP, Women's Educational Coalition for Equal Rights, Development and Peace), organized by the WLP partner, Human Rights Movement "Bir Duino-Kyrgyzstan" with the expert support provided by "Women's Resource Center" (Kazakhstan) was launched.
Core TOT objectives:

• Create a favorable environment, a horizontal inclusive platform for analyzing the environment for CSOs, challenges and new obstacles, as well as effective exchange of ideas and experience to find the new approaches and innovations for training women in human rights, women's leadership and political participation at local, regional and national levels.

• Inspire and motivate the participants to apply the new approaches for training women in human rights and women’s leadership through adapting the best practices of the world using the WLP instruments and methodology.

• Activate women leaders of all regions of the country in order to support their initiative in the field of freedom of actions, movements and activities aimed at protecting human rights, leadership and political participation of women at all decision-making levels.

• Develop specific recommendations for key positive changes to promote human rights and freedoms through the new national anti-corruption plan based on international standards , changes in electoral legislation, women's access to politics, while quotas are supported by sanctions . It is necessary to support civil initiative against systemic discrimination, growth of the violence and radicalism in society through the adoption of the Law "On Equality" in accordance with international treaties to which Kyrgystan is a party .

The participants of the event were the well-known gender experts, local kenesh delegates, leaders of public organizations working for protection of women's rights and promotion of leadership, prevention of human trafficking, prevention of violence and crimes against women and children supporting new initiatives on anti-corruption reforms, development of e-government and strengthening regional institutions with equal civic participation in the decision-making process at all levels of government.
